On 10 August, Vietnam festival in Japan was held in Sapporo, Hokkaido province. In the framework of the event, Quang Ninh’s delegation attended the opening ceremony of Quang Ninh booth introducing and exhibiting provincial culture, tourism and  OCOP products.

The organizer committee honored to welcome Mr. Bui Thanh Son, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party, foreign minister; Mr. Dang Xuan Phuong, member of provincial Standing Committee, Vice-secetary of Quang Ninh province, who is a head of Quang Ninh’s delegation; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh, Vice Chairman of People’s Committee, along with other delegates working at the departments and agencies of the place. Ms. Nguyen Thuy Yen, Deputy Director of Quang Ninh Tourism Department also joined in the Quang Ninh’s delegation. On Japan’s side, Mr. Takebe Tsutomu, a special adviser of Japan-Vietnam friendship Ally visited Vietnam’s stand along with representatives of Hokkaido province.

In the first days of the festival, a booth has catched a lot of attention of people and visitors, who had demands visiting and seeking about Quang Ninh province, in which the information of Quang Ninh tourism held many locals cared. Quang Ninh Department of Tourism coordinated with the Culture and Sport Department, participated in the stand of the festival with lively images, promoted spectacular landscapes, culture, and the people of Quang Ninh province. Besides, it also displayed well-designed travel publications, which launched the Quang Ninh tourism destination, creating significant impressions to Japanese tourists in Hokkaido province.
