Bang Ca village festival was organized on 10 March at the cultural reservation area of Dao Thanh Y people in Bang Ca commune, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.

This is a traditional and pivotal event of Dao Thanh Y ethnic people, who want to pray for a new year with favorable weather, good crops, good health and peace for every household. According to the information of local, people always try to return home to join their largest festival despite how far they live away. 

In the framework of the festival, local and visitors had a lot of chances to participate in the unique cultural activities uch as peace worshiping, incensing, played folk games and sports such as “con” throwing (throwing a ball through a hoop), crossbow shooting, stick pushing, etc. Besides, this annual festival holds a key role in the preservation of the local culture and the enrichment of the people’s spiritual life.
