In the beginning of the year, Quang Ninh has been vibrant with large and unique festivals, cultural and sports events that promise to create ideal opportunities for promoting tourism development in the province.

Quang Ninh was famous for a land of diversity, rich in cultural identity with a numerous number of festivals. Typically, the Yen Tu spring festival lasts for all 3 months of spring. The opening ceremony of the festival took place at the spacious Truc Lam Palace on January 10, which attracted about 20,000 participants. In addition, Cua Ong Temple Festival officially began on 12 March with a large scale, holding tens of thousands of visitors.

There are about 80 spring festivals in Quang Ninh province this year. Notably, many recent events were restored or introduced new and remarkable features, such as: The 1st seagate opening festival in Thanh Lan (Co To island), the Quynh Pagoda Festival (Dong Trieu) with the first swimming competition… According to experts, this is an exceptional way to catch and retain tourists, contributing to promoting travel growth.

Quang Ninh has increasingly become the impeccable land of large and significant cultural and sports activities like marathons: Vnexpress Amazing Ha Long, the 8th Ha Long Bay Heritage organized at the most beautiful sea route in Ha Long. Along with that, Ha Long city is also a home port of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, where worldwide crews enjoyed the most interesting and confident services. This not only made the highlighted effect for the Quang Ninh’s tourism but also caught the attention of international media.

Besides, provincial localities held the tournaments that are a combination of sports and landscapes, cultural beauty, bringing curiosity and discovery for tourists. These can be mentioned as: Golden season race through landscapes in Binh Lieu, Co To Marathon “Green Island imprint”, Amata running – Bach Dang heritage road…

Annually, Quang Ninh has over 100 galas, hundreds of outstanding cultural and sports events organized for stimulating tourism. However, the reality shows that festivals or events just only take place according to the traditional customs and they are not yet creating a link into chains or products … as localities are doing.

Therefore, Quang Ninh province needs the suitable combinations and connection between the events in order to raise their attractiveness to visitors and bring into play the maximum potential. At the same time, the place necessarily concentrates on great and key events to promote and link with localities and neighborhoods to up the awareness of Quang Ninh festivals to tourists.
