Dam Ha is a mountainous district located in the Northeast of the province with a lot of brightness of unique local landscape and culture. Along with that the place has many advantages of developing a variety of tourism products, especially ecological and community travel. 

From the early year to this time, Quang An commune (Dam Ha district) held 3 big cultural events that exploit the potentials of natural landscapes, ethnic minorities’ traditional culture. These are significant activities such as the Ba Nhat highland fair, Welcoming summer of San Co region and Dam Ha district’s volleyball competition in 2024. These events were organized to purely bond and bring into play their own cultural characteristics in modern life.

The district’s growing intention is striving to turn tourism into a crucial economy industry in 2025, which takes a high density in the local’s economic structure. At the same time, diversified travel products that have its own brand, competition, and characteristics will be renewed and promised to appeal to additional visitors, making Dam Ha becoming one of the most favorite destinations of travelers in the province and nation. 

5 years after a resolution No.22 of Quang Ninh People’s Committee was given, it created positive changes in the economic paints of Dam Ha district. Transport infrastructures, tourism services were looked after and invested; some kinds of travel businesses had strong developing steps.

The district defined tourism routes and points with resort, ecological, service tourism combined with cultural, experience tourism… In which famed tourist attractions with visitors such as stork forest, Hua mountain, Bach Van waterfall, Da Dung island, cluster of communal relics – pagodas – Dam Ha temple, Viet Huyen garden ecotourism area… The total number of visitors to visit and tourism in the area gradually increases year by year. Specifically, in 2022, the district will welcome 35,500 tourists; in 2023, it will reach 47,000 visitors; in 2024, strive to reach over 54,000 visitors.

Recently, Dam Ha People’s Committee coordinated with Quang Ninh Tourism Department held a training session to raise the awareness of ecology and community tourism to all towns, communes, village and street officials. In particular, the program has the attendees who are people from local communities and they are very eager to grow rural tourism in the district. The participants were launched and guided steps raising plans to develop community tourism; practiced a string of skills in communication, served guests; surveyed ecology travel models taking place at Tam Lang village, Quang An commune… Hence, contributing to orient and promote the community tourism development demand of locals.
