The Binh Lieu district tourist attractions and accommodations rapidly recovered and prepared for welcoming tourists in the rush autumn-winter occasion after the Yagi storm.

After the storm went through, it carried out making up and repair. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of Binh Lieu flower co-operative, who manages Cao Son floral garden share: “After the storm moved away, we carried out mending broken and failing parts such as roof again, reinforced a wood bridge, cleaned and planted additional fallen trees. Besides, we positively arrange fresh vegetable source and garden chicken, along with that add ethnic custom experience area to meet the increasing demand of tourists this occasion.”

According to Binh Lieu Culture and Information Department, Binh Lieu district’s accommodating system with 3 hotels, 24 motels, 13 homestays just underwent small damages, basically safe so that serving visitors were not interrupted. Currently, they are repairing its campus, hiring additional employees and investing in infrastructure to satisfy visitors’ sightseeing and experience activities.

On the last days of September, when Yagi storm passed about 2 week, the main space where taking place the events of annual yellow season festival at Luc Hon commune, the exist traces of the storm gradually disappeared. Along the main road through the place, trees are still fresh and green, as peaceful houses appear behind the blooming rice fields.

As it came to Cao Thang, Khe O, Ngan Pat villages, the effects of the Yagi storm and heavy rains clearly raised significant damages. On the road heading to Ngan Pat communal house, the rice-field check-in destination turned landslide out, and some electric piles were turned from side to side. Luc Hon commune evacuated 70 households before to avoid the landslide risks and keep their safety. At this moment the situation was stable and safe again so that almost everyone came back to their houses. Luc Hon commune also quickly implemented cleaning the environment, restore village roads to be ready for welcome travelers.

Mr. Hoang Van Trung, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Luc Hon commune, said: “The damage caused by Typhoon Yagi to the transport infrastructure system and works of Luc Hon is not large. The main spaces where the festival takes place will be refurbished and newly installed with signboards and signs. The 2024 Golden Season Festival will still take place as usual, expected at the end of October with many attractive activities.”

As known, the Binh Lieu district yellow season festival in 2024 will tentatively have special and exciting programs such as provincial women football competition, cook a feast in “the ceremony celebrating new rice”… The activities are going to be held in traditional ways and opened the organizing scale to make tourists impressed, which continuously builds the yellow season becoming a focused and crucial tourism brand of Binh Lieu district in the last months of the year.
