On 2nd November, a ceremony celebrating the new rice and food contest of Binh Lieu’s ethnic minorities took place at Luc Hon commune, Binh Lieu district. It is the activities belonging to the sequence of events of Culture – Tourism Week, Binh Lieu yellow season in 2024.

A ceremony celebrating the new rice was held to sum up a productive year, report labor achievements, thank gods and ancestors, and pray for a healthy and happy family. At the same time it was an occasion to family and kindred meet and gather. It also already became a beauty of unique and special culture, spirit, and belief which is preserved by Tay ethnic people.

In the morning of the same day, 16 teams from Luc Hon’s commune villages came to join in a food contest of Binh Lieu district ethnic minorities, which took place with the excitement of locals and visitors.
